U.S. ISRAEL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION

U.S. Israel Education Association (USIEA) advances important dialogue and cooperation between bipartisan senior government leaders in the United States and Israel by filling existing information gaps and enhancing understanding of issues critical to a mutually beneficial partnership.

Founded in 2011, USIEA empowers U.S. leaders with innovative initiatives on the path to Middle East peace, connects Members of Congress with direct access to West Bank visits, and educates as thought leaders in the media and through strategic global partnerships.

In addition, USIEA calls on our U.S. Congress to provide full and complete support to Israel in the coming days. The United States should offer continuing military and diplomatic support as long as it takes for Israel to carry out the necessary operations to destroy these terrorist networks.

In a year of extreme internal tension and division in Israel, it is noteworthy that all sides of the government have come together and unified over this attack. Statements of support have poured out from opposition leaders, and have called on all IDF soldiers and reservists to report for duty.

We are in touch with our colleagues and friends on the ground. We will continue to monitor the unfolding situation and provide updates to you.

UPDATES FROM ISRAEL:

Thousands of rockets have been launched into southern Israel by the Hamas terrorist group in Gaza. Hamas militants have crossed the border terrorizing Israeli towns. It is reported that more than a hundred Israelis are dead, thousands injured, and dozens taken hostage.

Many countries have rightfully stepped forward to condemn Hamas for these attacks. Yet, some are asking for a deescalation of violence on both sides.

USIEA unequivocally supports Israel's right to carry out all necessary measures to defend the homeland, recover hostages, and reestablish peace on the Gaza border.
